Sunday March 26
1:00 – 4:00 pm
Jazz up your crochet work with dazzling beads! Here’s what’s covered in class:
- How to pre-string beads and incorporate them into your work
- Diagonal crochet technique
- How to apply beads without pre-stringing them
By the end of class, students will be comfortable with pre-stringing beads; be able to work with pre-strung beads in chain stitch, single crochet, and other standard crochet stitches; become familiar with corner-to-corner (diagonal) crochet; and master “applying” beads onto a crochet project without pre-stringing them.
Our projects are a small beaded container and a lacy beaded wrap. The container uses pre-strung beads and is worked in the round. The wrap uses beads that are applied as we go; we start at the point, so you can make the wrap exactly the size you want.
Prerequisite Skills: Students must know chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet.
Tuition: $75 until March 17
$85 March 18 through March 26
